Photography and Art
I have two strong hobbies, photography and figure painting. I feel that both skills provide a professional value to my skills as a designer. My figure painting helps build an awareness of how colors work together and how to make something amazing out of nothing. My photography skills- while not professional- provide a sense of spatial awareness, an eye for aesthetic, as well as providing basic photography skills to clients in need of photo representation.

Some LED and long shutter time effects. This provides a nice way to add color and pop to a product shot.
A painting job of a riding lizard model. Note the shimmer on the scales- made with the use of a green-gold color shift paint, and the soft weathering on the saddle and bedroll. This is one of my proudest works.
A depiction of the Tarot of Death, this model takes the form of a Grim Reaper atop a pile of the dead resting atop a volcanic rock. The skeletal form of the Reaper is shown through his skull, ribs, and protrusions from the back, the rest of his shape hidden in the weathered black roble billowing around him, while his hands are wearing dark metal gauntlets. The purple was chosen for the scythe ribbons taking the recipient's favorite color into account.
One side of a coin with gear themes in mind, with each section bearing a different color to make every segment stand out. Through use of dry brushing a faint weathering effect was applied to the largest, iron gear.
2nd Place in the 2015 Nanocon Figure Painting Contest. Crematorian Hounds from Chronicles of Riddick referenced.
1st Place piece in the 2016 Nanocon Intermediate Figure Painting Contest. A personal twist on the concept of a green/earth dragon.
