Paint N Play Prints
Luxury Chess Collection
by Connor O'Kane
This striking, minimal design originated in Latvia and was popular throughout the Soviet Union around the 1930s. Its sleek lines still look modern by today’s standard. The wide, flared bases make the pieces very stable and a pleasure to play with. An excellent set for rapid games as the pieces are sturdy and resistant to toppling over.
These pieces are inspired by the original 1849 design, but updated and optimized for 3D printing. The Staunton design has been the international tournament standard since 1924, however it was designed in 1849 and has defined the look of modern chess sets since then.
The Zagreb set is a variant of the famous Dubrovnik design. A distinctive feature of the Zagreb set is the alternate colored finials on the King, Queen and Bishop.
An original design of Connor O'Kane, created specially for 3D printing. The Ecliptic pieces have been designed to form an elegant but also playable set, with instantly recognizable shapes and a modern, clean appearance.
n 1950 the 9th Chess Olympiad was held in Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia and a modern, original chess set was designed for the tournament. Only 50 sets were made and they are now so rare that it is impossible to buy an original one.
